Welcome to Bertrand Town Square, and thanks for reading!

Town Square is a print-only forum for disseminating Bertrand information to the public without the burden and interference of social media and its algorithms. If you would have seen it in a newspaper in 1995, it’s appropriate for Town Square. Town Square is text-only (except for sponsor ads) and intended to be thorough but concise. It is distributed every Tuesday (except when Christmas is on a Tuesday) in about 70 locations in Bertrand and by mail to subscribers.

News submission to Bertrand Town Square may be accomplished by filling out this form, by calling or texting 308-325-0448, or emailing bertrandtownsquare@gmail.com.

Bertrand Town Square Week Sponsorship provides a space that’s 2.875 inches wide (that’s two and seven-eighths inches) by 1 inch tall on Bertrand Town Square for a message from your entity for one week. You may provide a print-ready ad or request that something be designed for you — it’s up to you. Email content to bertrandtownsquare@gmail.com on or before the Sunday before publication to discuss your insertion and arrange for payment. Your sponsorship of $70 provides the 70 display copies that are placed in Bertrand businesses and gathering spots every Tuesday.

Subscribe to Bertrand Town Square to receive a copy by U.S. Mail. Subscriptions are $15 per three-month increment, or $60 per year. Bertrand residents can visit the Bertrand Village Office to start or renew a subscription. Others may send a check to Karen Nelson at 74371 E Road, Bertrand, NE 68927, or call 308-325-0448 or email bertrandtownsquare@gmail.com to make other arrangements. If you would prefer to use an electronic automatic renewal subscription by card or payment service, go to bertrandtownsquare.com.

Donations are welcome. Your donation supports paper and ink purchases. It is not tax-deductible. Donations may be given through the website or by mail as noted above.

Many thanks to the Village of Bertrand for its collaboration on this community communication tool!
